Just checked BestBuy to see what they have the S20 FE for, and noticed the monster Note20 Ultra deal for Verizon...I'm due for an upgrade, and they have it at $250 off...thats $43.75 a mo. compared to $54.16 from Verizon. It is literally the same price that BestBuy has the S20+ for.

Sold my iPhone 11 Pro Max because I'm tired of Apple after 5 years and the iPhone 12 being the same ol' BS for a nice $800

I hope you went for that deal!
The N20U is really a great phone! You can still sync with iCloud too. Check the Play store for Sync for iCloud Contacts & another for Calendar.

I have to ask why is Verizon wireless selling the 128 GB for $1,300 when Samsung directly sells the Verizon wireless model for $1,100? It's examples like this why I can't stand Verizon.

Its been said many times.

Why buy a carrier phone.
And get Bloatware.
And be locked to a carrier

ATT 1k credit by far best deal. BUT I did have to go through a nightmare for my trade in to be counted... So maybe not worth the stress lol

When you can get $1000 off a N20U and on AT&T and don't have any plans to change carrrier anytime soon... thats why :)

I haven't bought a phone tied to my carrier in a long time but a N20U for $300 that didn't require me trading in a phone less than a year old to get that kind of credit was a deal I couldn't pass.

I've been with AT&T as far back when my bills said Cingular so 30 more months not concerned lol.

Not a fan of the AT&T apps but disabled a few and thats it. Not as bad as years ago forcing a lot more than AT&T branded apps.

I'm just pointing out that Samsung is selling the same exact phone with all of the Verizon bloat for $200 less. Verizon's prices all around are a joke.

Sometimes things change. For instance, Mint now has unlimited data (and unlimited voice and text, of course) for $30/month.

Yeah, keeping an eye on plans and companies like Mint or Red Pocket. I'm certainly open to change. But AT&T plan still works for me because of bundling of other services of tv internet and costs offset with promo rates and employee discounts with wife working for Philips, etc.

But I can see going with a service like Mint or Red Pocket in future if the major carriers can't compete and I have been starting to play with cutting the cord playing with IPTV the last year, etc.

I had that crazy cheap data plan when the iPhone 1 launched through AT&T and kept said data plan for many years later and with phones not iphone like my Nexus 4, G2, G3 and back to iPhones when the data plan was no longer available to new customers until I let go of it. So AT&T has served me well.

Why?

Average consumer doesn't pay up front for an unlocked phone. Buying from a carrier provides easy payments and better support. Have a problem with your phone and you can take it to the store, buy unlocked and Verizon says not our problem. Need a warranty or replacement, again Verizon says not our problem. Plus it guarantees compatability with the network. Plus my last 2 phones(Note 8 and Note 9) I saved over $400 buying a Verizon branded phone over an unlocked one.

What bloatware? Samsung and Google both put far more bloat on a phone than Verizon does. My Note 9 doesn't have a single app on it from Verizon that I don't need that can't be uninstalled. This isn't 2014 where carriers threw a bunch of apps liks Facebook or Candy Crush on the phone.

You aren't locked to a carrier when you buy a carrier branded phone.

You can make payments at Best Buy just like you can the carrier and then you can have a unlocked phone.

Personally.

The LAST thing I want is payments.
That is why I buy the phone out right.

Well Samsung.com has what I believe to be a great deal for a Note 20 Ultra, only $449.00 with a iPhone 11 Pro trade in. I was very hesitant at $649.00. But pulled the trigger last night.

Well I got it! Loving it so far and am paying $10 less a mo. then my Pro Max

Apple did very little of anything this year in IOS 14 to keep me. The changes were absolutely worthless IMO and Android crushed them with the new note and Android 11.
