After using the Note20 ultra would you buy it again?

I don't think you can go wrong with any flagship phone these days. I find it interesting that Samsung fans often claim the Apple "fanboys" get taken for a ride each year but so do Samsung. You can buy a pixel for example thats much cheaper then both and is a great phone with a camera just as good. Everyone is bias to what they personally prefer. I was a huge Samsung fan. I have owned more Samsung devices then any other, however in recent times i have started to prefer the iphone.

Not because its better per say but its as good and i prefer it. Where i come from the Note 20 Ultra for example is priced slightly more expensive then the Iphone 12 pro max. Is the Note 20 ultra better? Meh technically / on paper perhaps but i guarantee you the camera on both phones will as good as each other. I know theres no 12 pro max reviews out yet but i expect it to at least be a tad better then the regular pro which in my opinion is pretty close to the quality of the Note 20 Ultra. Video recording is also superior on apple devices. I also personally just prefer the way apple devices feel, i just find they are build better and feel better (personal preference) and i also feel the displays don't smudge / get finger prints as easily (i know they are produced by samsung but maybe apple then apply their own coating?)

I find that alot of the "features" Android phones have that deem them better then apple are gimmicky features for most people. On paper it sounds better but in reality the difference is negligible. Again its subjective but even the s pen is gimmicky in my opinion. I would say the majority of users will use it once or twice at best.

The only feature the Note 20 Ultra has that would make me jealous as an iphone user is the refresh rate. Thats it. I prefer the build of the iphone, how it feels. I prefer the flat display rather then curved as it drives me crazy with ghost touches etc As for the notch? Meh id rather it not be there of course but i honestly dont mind it and i love face id far more then touch id. The best battery life ive ever had on a device has also been an iphone (11 pro max) and i have also used Note 10 plus etc (probably a close 2nd to be fair)

Point iam trying to make is that its a shame we cant be humble enough to admit almost all flagship phones are great and its all about personal preference and what YOU prefer and if it costs a tiny bit more to get the device you want and you can afford it then why does anyone else care ??

Well the reason you are seeing so much Samsung Note 20 Ultra praise and iPhone praise is almost non-existent is the fact that you are posting on an Android site, aptly name Android Central.

I dont know if I would or not after using the fold 2. I experienced a lot of dropped calls with the note 20 ultra, more then the note 10+. I thought maybe it's the new 5G signal deal causing it, but after using the fold 2, I don't think it's the 5G difference. I don't drop calls on the 5G, never. And I go in the same areas every day as I drive truck, I get in different areas, but I run the same route. The note 20 didn't do as well holding calls. Other then that, the note 20 was a solid phone.

Definitely! It's a beautiful device and the camera is amazing. I've noticed people complaining about it before but I don't have any issues. I have the Mystic Bronze 128 GB Ultra. My only complaint is that I wish they had given the device 256 GB for the base storage instead of 128 GB. I've had it since release day and still have my NOTE 10 PLUS. Both are great devices and would definitely purchase again if I could go back to release day!

Absolutely nothing. Not sure why people always call features they don't have gimmicky. The same use to be said for years about wireless charging which we all know is not a gimmick and have saved many people whose phones will no longer naturally charge with a cord. Reverse wireless charging although not the end all be all is a great feature to give charge to your headphones and smartwatch on the go. Could go on about other features like Samsung Pay which continues to impress those who have never seen it in action but think I've proven my point.
What does any of this have to do with the thread topic?

Do you have the Verizon variant? I'm still waiting on the 5g update as I can't get uwb(due to my plan). I've noticed that my Verizon service has been getting very crappy (lots of dropped calls), but performance on my z fold 2 has been better than other devices.

Yes I have the Verizon version.

I have both the 12 Pro and the Note 20 Ultra coming from the Note 10+ and the XS Max. If I'm being completely honest, even though I know the Ultra is a better phone than my Note 10+ I kinda miss the 10+. The Ultra isn't that much bigger, but it is a little unwieldy compared the 10+, and I haven't used the camera enough to really take advantage of the upgrades. 5G is nice, and it's more futureproof, but it's not like I generally keep phones long enough for that to matter in the long run. I do really like my Ultra, but for whatever reason, there's something I can't put my finger on that I miss about my 10+.

As far as iPhone 12 Pro vs. the Note 20 Ultra, they're just 2 completely different beasts. That's why I use both. If I could only have one, it'd be the Note 20 Ultra definitely. I do love the 12 Pro, but it's just not as capable as the Ultra.

I know that's not exactly what the OP was asking. Just rambling what's been on my mind lately.

No regrets but I will admit that the preorder trade-in and gifts were what convinced me to buy it. I love the camera especially the 5x zoom. The large screen is beautiful to look at and the s pen comes in handy when you least expect it. I was taking a selfie with my family at Niagara Falls and using the s pen as a shutter button was really clutch. I think Samsung has sales and free gifts during Black Friday. If you can wait another month then I would wait.

No complaints. Great.

There will be an issue for some people of whether the feature upgrades are enough to justify upgrading. But that depends on what you come from and how picky you are. No question it is a great phone.

I am loving my N20U.... I find because of the size and functionality of the Note 20 Ultra...I don't feel the need to grab my laptop as much. I can pretty much do everything on my N20U because of the display size and functionality.

I would definitely buy it again.

I am happy. I came from a Note 9. The N9 will miss the next update and with the trade in value I went for it. Skipped the N10+.

Like others said. If you're into the apple ecosystem, stay with Apple. Unless you're ready for a big change.

I was curious and read some of the apple rumors forums. Some things a few people wished for that the note has:
- mini pencil, like the Spen
- in screen fingerprint or some fingerprint scan to open the phone with face mask wearing.
- reverse charging

The mag charge thing sounds nice, but some didn't see the value. I have one wireless charger I use at work and I never have a problem with setting it right.

Apple and Samsung both went with few accessories to limit "waste". Apple had no brick Samsung included a brick (I think, I haven't needed one for a while). Both have cords. Both no headphones.

I'm with tmobile also. My phone works good. I had to set 2 fingerprint scans to my index finger, but other then that I love it.
I love the zoom in this phone.
I use my Spen a lot. Great for playing games, like card games, word searches, etc. Also crop a photo or screenshot instantly when I get it with my Spen.
