Home and Recents button don't work - Notification bar won't go down.

[Android Central Question]

Hello, I have an Alcatel Fierce 4, and this all occurred earlier when it restarted on its own before I left the house to go work. After it restarted and it turned back on, I realized that notifications don't pop up, and I can't pull down the small settings menu. The recent and home button don't work either, only the back button. Please help.

If restarting it doesn't fix it, there's nothing you can do by yourself, and the repair bill will be more than a new phone would cost.

Solved- Home/Recents button not working

It's stress caused by the protective case. Myself and dozens of other removed the case and ALL functions returned to normal on all of them

I had this problem in my redmi note 3. As you said recently only I changed my phone case and suddenly got this issue. Now I have removed the case.

I have a Acatel A574BL and the same tjing happened (home button and recent applications button not working) and removing the case did not work, i checked for viruses and my phone is clean...
