Home button, hard press

Whn I first got my S9, I read where you could set the home button to "bring up" a shortcut that was on the phone using a long hard press.
I set it to bring up Startpag.
I want to change it now and have forgotten how I did it.

Could someone detail the steps I have to take to change this?

Went to "More actions" and found "Default Assist App" info where I could change what would come up when the home button was hard pressed.
NOW, how do I add a new shortcut to this list so I could set it with the home button?
I didn't see a way to search/add a new item to the list.
Therr must be a way because I originally did it!!!!!!!

Not quite understanding. Which assistant, and do you mean home screen?

OK, this should clarify where I am.

Go to:
Settings > Display > Navigation Bar> Default assist app (at bottom of screen, in blue).
A list will show. I would like to add to this list.
Then I can set my hard/long press of the home button to bring up that page.
I currently have Startpage active, but would like to change it.

So, I am looking for a way to add to yhis page so I can customize my home button press.

This is a list of apps, as you show.

NOW, how do I add apps to this list.
There is no other page next or a menu to add apps.

Any suggestions?

If there is a way to add an app not designed for this, I don't know how to add it. There may be a way to rename the apps you want to choose, or change their permissions. Maybe someone can jump in here.
