Home button launching car dock...

So for some reason my home button on my X launches the car dock. Can't figure out how to make it stop doing that. I am running launcher pro plus. Can anyone help with this!?!?

Open lpp and look at preferences/behavior/home key actions. See what its set to. Try and change to do nothing or something you want it to do.

Forgive me but what is lpp? Could you walk me through it? Thanks

LLP = Launcher Pro Plus ... the paid version of Launcher Pro, same as what you are using. When on your home screen - Menu > preferences (this is for LPP - settings is for the DX itself) > Behavior Settings > Home key action. Here, make sure the green dot is where you want it to be, as far as what happens with the home button.

When done, turn off - wait a minute or two - turn on. See if this helps.

PS - If the turn off/turn on doesn't do it, try a battery pull ... take battery out, wait at least one full minute, put back in, turn on.

This often will take care of miscellaneous glitches, especially if you have made sure the settings are correct (for what you want).

The DX settings has nothing that allows for bevavior setting. Or preferences either.

You are right ... the DX settings don't have this. BUT the Launcher Pro PREFERENCES do.

how to do this

from your main home screen

press the far left button at the bottom of your X

touch the preferences (hammer and wrench)

touch behavior settings

touch home screen action

mine is set to open close screen previews.

change yours from what it is

to do nothing
....

voila the trick she is done...

When I click on the far left button I get no option for preferences. That is a LPP only option. Mine only shows choices for; add,search,wallpaper, notifications, settings.

It's possible that you are double tapping the home button. If so, from the home screen:

menu > settings > applications > double tap home to launch

From there, you can set the specific app to launch when the home button is double tapped.
