Well, there's quite a few articles pertaining to this (Reddit, etc), but didn't see anything here on Android Central. Forgive me in advance if I missed the thread somewhere.

I'm getting haptic feedback/vibration with my home button - even though I have ALL vibrations either turned all the way down or completely off. Two examples - long presses from the AOD screen as I access my home screen, and also with long presses accessing Google Assistant.

I have the "Hard press vibration feedback" option turned all the way down. You'd think that by turning it all the way down, that means OFF. Maybe you can't completely turn off haptic feedback with the home button? Is this a software glitch, or am I not doing something right?

Not sure if the sliders should turn off vibration or not when all the way down, but the Home Button is a separate beast from the rest of the OS elements. Haptic feedback from it is not customizable AFAIK.

Thanks for the reply. Doesn't make sense, but I guess it is what it is. I've tried everything in Settings and I believe you are correct - can't adjust or turn off the Home Button haptic feedback.

It does make a little sense since you have two levels of 'pressing' and especially for AOD, you need to know you pressed the button, but I can see why some wouldn't like that. I'm sure there are mods out there that can take care of this, but that means flashing unofficial (often root-requiring) stuff onto your phone.
