Home Key from Phone Call Issue

I have a funky issue lately on my GalaxyS where when I finish with a phone call and end the call, the phone hangs in the Phone App. When I choose the Home Key, I get the haptic feedback that the button was selected but my phone does not take me to my home screen. Back button does not "cancel" out of the app but also provides feedback that it saw my selection.

Just going to the Phone app and back is not a problem. It seems to be the actual execution of a call and termination thereof that then puts me in this funky state. A soft reset (power on/off) mostly works. Yesterday I actually had to perform the dreaded battery pull.

Any other FASCINATING people have a similar issue?

Thanks.

Same deal. Seems to happen randomly. Sometimes it will allow me to pill down the taskbar and close the call that way. Very weird.

Cordoni and others... I still have full call control in the phone app when this happens... just can't get anywhere else on my Galaxy S.
