Home screen doesn't rotate.

I installed NOVA LAUNCHER and now it rotates... in fact its awsome!

The easy fix is to install screen rotator from the market.

GO Launcher works as well. I prefer it over Nova.

Don't need to "root", hack it, install other launchers to do this simple thing. Unless you're just driven to hack the thing into submission. Just install the app "ultimate rotation" from the play store and you're good to go. Have also heard good things about Auto Rotate Widget.

Unless of course you're in to finding the most complex and risky solutions to simple issues, as so many on this forum are inclined to do.

I use the "Screen Orientation Contorl" by eflow inc.

For those that are un-rooted, this is a very simple and quick tool for home screen rotation.....works awesome.

Is there any way to rotate the lock screen without root?

The reason I changed the default launcher to Nova instead of just installing a rotation app is that Nova has some other customizations in addition to home screen rotation. For instance, I prefer having some transparency to the app drawer background, which is possible on Nova, but not on the stock launcher.

That's exactly what I did... The minute I unboxed and turned on my N7 I downloaded and installed Ultimate Rotation and have been very happy with it thus far.

I also installed ultimate rotation control and it works smoothly without slowing anything down. So thanks who ever suggested it
