How do I set Panda as my home screen? It keeps telling me to go to home settings> applications> Manage applications. When I go there it won't let me select anything.

When I used other home replacements in the past, hitting the home button would bring up a dialog asking which home I wanted to use. Then you'd check "set as default", and pick the one you want. I'm not sure if Panda is the same way though. I haven't used it before.

Are you currently using another home screen besides the stock android os home screen?

If you're using something other then the stock home now, you need to go into manage apps, find the home you're using then select clear defaults. The next time you hit the home button it should ask you which one you want to use, tick the default box at the bottom of the prompt then select your new home choice.

When I do that it says no defaults set and the area is grayed out so I can't do any choosing. Do I need to somehow de-select the home that came with the Droid?

No, if you're using the default home and you've installed another you should be getting prompted to which home you want to use when you hit the Home button..

I would install 'Home Switcher' from the market .... it lets you pick whatever home screen you want in one simple step .... much easier.
