Home Screen Icons get weird

I've had the phone 2 weeks. Upon reboot (which I do every day) some icons on the home screen came back half screwy. As you can see in the screenshot, Facebook icon is missing but the word is there. Reboot prior to this the red "notification" number was there, nothing else. One other time the phone icon was missing but the word phone was there.

Anyone see this on the note?

BTW my signal bar widget doesn't usually come back upon reboot. I have open the program and exit out. Then the widget populates. Although I have seen it start on its own twice on this phone, that's it.

1) The phone is under warranty - have it replaced. (Don't wast time fixing someone else's problem unless they're paying you to do it. It's Samsung's problem.)

2) The only reason to reboot the phone every day is that you turn it off at night. It doesn't need regular rebooting. (I've had Android phones running for months at a time with no problem. My latest phone is a Note 3, but the 4 shouldn't be worse than the 3.)

That widget did that on my S3 too just like that. That problem is the widget I think on this one, not the phone. I don't like the updated widget so I haven't updated that app in a long time.

The Facebook app icon thing is new to this phone. Hasn't done it again. Yet.

Now today, I notice my camera icon on home screen has the chrome icon hiding behind it. When moved they move together. In the apps screen the icon is the same. I disabled chrome the first day sooooo.

Couple things to try.

Clear catch
remove widgets that you think it could cause the problem
use the default font and size.
finally if nothing works try to start on safe mod.

I believe this is a common issue with Note 4. I have had the same problem. Usually before restarting the phone I clear the cache and it seems to be fine. The only thing to do is simply restart when an icon is missing. Love android/my note 4 but don't like these little bugs.

Clear the cache as in battery pull or cache of a particular app?

From settings, go to storage and clear cache there. I am not sure if this is some full-proof solution but it has worked for me. Other than that, seems to be a common bug and all you can do is really restart the phone when you end up with a missing icon.

Ahhh ok. It's weird my dinky slow S3 never had these issues on kit kat.

Yes, but my S2 was for more laggy and slower than the Note 4. I have only had the missing icon problem with this phone and the main problem has been the camera of the phone being blank every 2-3 days. Unless I restart the phone the camera doesn't work. That's the one really pissing me off lol.

I'd be ticked! The Note 4 is supposed to be a processing beast. There shouldn't be icons wigging out
