Does anyone have issues with their app names "whiting out" on their Nexus? It happens in the all apps section too.

Is that Advanced Task Killer I see running? If so, it's not needed. It will wreak havoc on your OS.

It is...I'll uninstall it and see if that helps. Just out of curiosity, what'll it do to the OS?

Android likes to manage its own memory, and will kill processes as needed. Sometimes, ATK kills off processes that it shouldn't, and doesn't reallocate the memory properly. Some have reported worse battery life wih ATK running too.

ATK may have been useful in early versions of Android, but memory management is much better in Android now, especially in ICS.

I deleted ATK, and power cycled the phone last night. I did notice that I wasn't getting the "whited out icons" as often. Actually, it took twelve hours for it to happen again. So far I am satisfied that it isn't happening sooner like before.

Never mind. Ever since this afternoon I've been having the same thing happen with the icons...any ideas on what could be causing it? I don't really want to do a reset, but...
