Home screens order changed

I've been using five home screens on my Xperia XZ2 Compact (Android v9) for some time now, but yesterday the order changed. I want to change it back, but can't figure out how.

I tried entering edit mode (long press) and I get the carousel, but I can't seem to drag them back into the order I created them in. I'd rather not have to delete and recreate them all, especially since I don't know how they got out of order in the first place.

Any ideas?

In the carousel view, does anything happen if you long-press a homescreen?

Thanks for response, diddy. That's what I thought i'd need to do, but when I long press any homescreen in carousel view it just exits back to normal view.

I still don't get why they moved. They all just switched to the right of my main home screen.

Did this start after the Pie upgrade? If so, it may have to do with a revamped homescreen interface. If you want the old way, you can consider installing a 3rd party launcher like Nova.
