im having a hard time connecting to my home also...on my dinc it did it no problem just enter my password which is not 9 numbers but the x is asking me for 9 numbers i tried it twice with the 9 numbers on the back of the netgear thingy lol but have no idea what a ssid wep wap is but i do know if you call me a wop you could get a slap in my neughborhood lol

You should probably login to the management interface you access point, and review the settings for your wireless network, including SSID, encryption type, and encryption key. Your X should match those values.

LOL!

Basically he's saying that you should check the security settings on your router. Make sure the network's broadcasting name (SSID), the type of security (Open, WEP, WPA, WPA2) and security/encryption key (think network password) are exactly the same as what you're typing into the Droid X and Incredible. I recently changed my security settings from WEP to WPA2 and had to go around to all my devices, PS3, TV, laptops, and phones to change the security settings.

Check that, and follow up here if you're still having problems.

my dinc picked up my wifi no problem, my x is asking for a password thats only numbers(there is a 9 digit password in numbers on the back) and i tried using it but still cant connect and the password for my wifi is not a 9 digit number its letters and i tried the push to connect option but there is no button on my router (thats the white thingy with the lil antennae and the pretty lites on it right??)

My works fine, in the same way that your DInc did. Take it to a known wifi area (like perhaps the store where you bought it) and ask them to try to connect you to theirs.
