Homescreen Messaging App Launching Browser?

Just got the EVO and ran into a snag. It was resolved with a shut down and restart but was really odd. Whenever I clicked on the messaging app it was launching the browser!!! Kind of a scary thing to have happen when you just get a brand new phone. Anyone else experience this issue?

Try this ...

a)go into your app drawer and launch the messages app. Did this work? If yes go to B, if no, go to C.
b) delete the icon off your homescreen (long press, drag to bottom of screen). Now add it back (long press blank space on screen, select apps, select messages). Try launching it again to see if it worked.

A restart fixed it.....hope that was a one time glitch....isn't happening any more...crossing fingers!
