One of the video reviews I saw before I got the Photon pointed out that you could not pinch to get to a homescreen selection view as is done with HTC Sense and some other loaders. I viewed this as a minor annoyance and a strange oversight.
I picked up the Photon yesterday and quickly discovered that if you hit the home button while on the main homescreen, it brings up the selection screen. "Okay... not terrible, but not great".
But today I stumbled onto it! (And I confirmed that this is not in the manual.) I got it to work somehow! I didn't know how at first, but found it with a little more experimentation:
Starting in the app dock area (the "always there" icons), swipe upwards.
Disclamer: This is my first Motorola Android phone. I know it has a variation of MotoBlur on it, so maybe this isn't news to everybody; but hopefully, this helps somebody out there!
