Tldr version is root and get viper. Sound is garbage without it. I came from a z10.
As far as knox counter Wanam Pro resets. Great app, also let's you edit status bar colours, multi window apps,etc.
Edit - Also wp stands for windows phony. The exynos is not much different you'll be fine. You'll be blown away by the speed difference. However I would root, install titanium backup and get rid of bloat such as s voice and s finder.
Google now/google voice search alone is worth switching to Android. It's better than desktop, I prefer using my note over my 2500k 5ghz 7970 water-cooled pc lol.
