So my blackberry Z10 (i know laugh it up) is no longer suitable for my needs and I'm looking to replace it. I got a year or so left on my agreement. Sony is selling the Z3 contract free in there stores i am very interested.
I would just lime some feed back from people.
Things i need to be better
Battery life
Keep up with my constant media consumption ( music, web pages and apps.) i use the wow armory through my phones hot spot mode along with G+, android central (of course) along with the social dribble that is Facebook and Twitter.

My Z10 will get me about 6 hours of battery life and that isn't enough.
Thanks in advance

I have the z2 not three but I can tell you battery life is ridic. I'm a heavy user. Yesterday I took my phone off the charger at 5am and plugged it In at 3am with 22% left. 7 hours screen on time. I think it's a great phone choice. Good luck!!

Battery life is brilliant. It's a great phone. Will be a bit of a change from your last one so there are bound to be niggles as you adjust. But it will not disappoint for what you want.

Just walked into a sony store and played with a copper Z3 that is a gorgeous phone it's really hard to fathom the thickness and weight until it's in your hand. It's a bit of a bummer that they don't have the remote play mount there.

I think i know where all my next paycheck are going...
Is it a very fragile phone? I read the review and that compact was toasted from a drop i should have asked about the warranty well i was in there.

Hard to tell to be honest. I wouldn't want to drop it on a hard surface but I've never had a smartphone that I would. A plastic Samsung might give you more confidence but to be honest if you drop a phone it's kind of the luck of the angle it hits; they all have glass screens.

By the way I'm nearing 6 hours screen on time and have just dropped below 20‰ battery.

That battery life is so good, they have a $209 2 year accidental coverage... That is a lot of cash to put down on a phone that is already $699 here.
I have dropped my blackberry more times than i care to admit. And it still works...

A buddy of mine has one. I've dropped it on tile with my S3 and its about the same results. Not sure on concrete though

Honestly it's a great device for media, battery is great, the screen is just right, balances power consumption and resolution properly for the size. I just worry about how thin and slippery it is, I put a TPU case on it immediately.

Yes I got a tpu case on mine a thin one immediately even I got it before the phone got here

If you like bb10 why not the passport?

BB10 isn't my preferred operating system. I have been using my nexus 7 as a communications device instead of my Z10.

My last android phone was a Motorola RAZAR V ( running what i think was Gingerbread) I think that Kit Kat and/or Lollypop will be much better for my needs.

I'm genuinely surprised that people still use Blackberry. I saw them going downhill when I had my last Blackberry--the Blackberry Tour--and I switched to the original Motorola Droid.

I have the Z3v, which is different from the Z3. However, the battery life is amazing. I can last all day on a single charge. I was at the laundromat the other day and it took about an hour for my clothes to wash and dry, and all that time I was playing on my phone. I used ~10% battery life in an hour with the screen on the whole time (except when I put my clothes into the dryer). I don't use auto-brightness and I like to keep my screen bright.

I got this case nice and slim fits good highly recommended in smoke color

Also got a cruzerlite bugdroid case from amazon but that's more thicker and more money for no reason

Yeah i can't get that one here (Canada)
But i can get the Bugdroid one it looks solid and not appleish.

I'm use to holstering my phone, any opinions i found this but the pictures and lack of dimensions worry me.

I had poor phone options at the time. I believe it was the S3 Note 2 and some lower end phones that were awful. So i took the blackberry Z10 it was great until my text messages freeze the phone all the time now.

They also don't seem to play well with screen protectors, keeps causing my Skinomi to bubble at the edges.
You have to know how to install them the bugdroid has a more sharper edge but you need to stretch it out before you put it on the other one is better and won't cause issues to the screen protector.

They very tight so you need to work it to install it ,originally I was looking for a silicone case but seems like no one makes them anymore all I see it TPU it is more slippery then silicone and harder.I want something more grippy.
