I have a US model Honor 7x that I am using in France for the next half year. It is currently activated on a French mobile network. I'm not sure how long this has been an issue because I have not been texting since activation a couple weeks ago - only using other apps to communicate, often over data.
What works: calling, texts from service provider, data.
What doesn't: sms
I tried putting my SIM in my iPhone 6 (and turned off imessage) and was able to send a text (to myself, so not sure how good a test that is).
I note that in the settings it says my Mobile Network Status is Disconnected. Not sure if that is a factor.
Huawei said I might need a different SIM that is compatible with my phone, I am trying to contact my service provider right now.
Any ideas?
