I would never buy a phone from Best Buy again now that they have the $35. restocking fee on returns for Phones and tablets and other electronics that get activated and need to be reset, which they will not waive under any circumstances. Buying a deal which includes a phone card is also bad as phone cards are not refundable and I have heard that people buy scrape and use the funds then re cover the scraped numbers with silver paint then used to return for a credit or sell on line.

I just had a hell of a time with Best buy getting a refund on an Honour 6x that I bought for my wife. Ordered on line and they changed the delivery date because of Black Friday extending it by 4-5 days. I tried to cancel as it was easier to just go and buy at a store than wait the extra time. They said it was not possible to cancel as UPS had been given the pick up instructions. BB told me to just return it or take to a store. No restock if package is unopened. So I did that and the store took about an hour to process the refund as the orders didn't match up.Finally had to get a supervisor to do a manual refund. They also were not going to refund the $40. phone card but relented when I pointed out that the package was not opened until they opened it and was just as UPS gave me so the card couldn't have been tampered with. I returned it on November 28th and on Dec 3rd when my Credit card still hadn't shown the refund I called Best Buy asking why. They told me it sometimes could take a full billing cycle of your credit card before it came through. Contacted my Bank and they said that was nonsense and if it didn't appear by end of week (Dec 8th) I should dispute the original purchase and get it reversed. The credit appeared yesterday so at least that is now okay.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfortunately they did institute a $35 fee for returned unlocked phones not too long ago.

But the rep you got gave you inaccurate information. Unfortunately it has happened to me at best buy as well as many other places. Many Reps will say anything to get you off the phone.

Wow! That's a great deal, especially since I paid about $500 (after tax, including shipping and handling) for my Honor 8 last December. I love this phone!
