Honor 8 heats with camera usage?

Please help me I got the phone honor 8 few days back and when I use the camera it seems to heat up quite considerably around the camera area. Is this normal or should I get a replacement?

How long are you using the camera? It's not unusual to get warm when using the camera app especially when you are recording FHD videos.

A little heat is normal, but if you want you can try using cpu z from the play store and post back what you have for battery and CPU temperature.

Just a few mins (1 or 2) into only opening the camera app and not recording nor clicking pics i could notice heat

With 5 mins of camera on, battery temperature went from 36° to 40° and cluster0 went from 45° to 53°. Is this acceptable or not?

That should be fine, IMO. It's not really too hot for the battery or CPU. For reference my s7 has seen CPU temps in excess of 90 C when pushing the CPU.

I think it's pretty normal, especially when you consider that this is probably one of the most taxing demands you can ask of your processor.

That's pretty low temp for high stress on the processor.
