Honor 8 Still Worth it in 2018?

I think it's a good phone and a good camera. Possibly the best bang for the buck. As to Oreo, my Mate 9 got it and, other than additions to the camera, I haven't found anything remarkable. Maybe I'm just missing it. I still enjoy my Honor 8 when I want a smaller phone in my pocket.

Yeah...I went with the Mate 9. It's a great phone!. Though I do miss the smaller Honor 8 and it's fingerprint scanner/button. In the end though I wanted a more furture proof device.

I wouldn't disagree with you but at the same time it's in a different price point. I mean otherwise I would just recommend the Pixel 2.

Fair point. I think cameras just aren't a priority for so many manufacturers in that price segment.

That's true. The honor 8 has an exceptional camera for its price. Same can be said of the honor 5x, although that was flawed in other ways.

Yeah...due to the first news of the H8 not getting Oreo or EMUI 8 I got the Mate 9 instead. It's a GREAT phone but I do miss the pocketability of the H8.

I don't even think about the battery anymore. I think the lowest I've ever gotten it to is 26% and that was after a day of constant usage. It's pretty amazing.

I think it's still worth it, but depending on the price. As far as security updates, I'm on a January 18 patch, so I'm quite happy with that. Better than I got with my last phone (an expensive Sony device)

Unfortunately it isn't uniform, my honor 8 is on October i believe

I was quite shocked as well, it came pretty fast, got December and then January in a span of a month. I have no idea how they decide who gets it, though

Performance and battery are great! I kinda wish I would of gotten a smaller phone (Honor 8 or P10), just easier to one hand but that's just preference. This phone rocks!
