Hope this is the Note 8

Wouldn't make sense to me if it weren't wider. Will be great once it's on display in stores.

Yeah, I need to get my hands on it to be sure, but most likely this will be my next device. Unless there's a recall for some reason.

Re: Note 8 battery will be great?

But this year if rumor is right and the new processor is being built on 10nm tech like the new SnapDragons are as well as going OLED... you might have a significant battery life gain if they are using the same size as the iPhone 7+.

Think about it this way where the S8+ is using the new 10nm chip and the battery life the S8+ has been getting with the smaller 3500mah battery than what was used in the S7 Edge.

Well the iPhone battery usually is smaller. The great life they get is from software tweaks.

Yup, I knew my eyes weren't fooling me. Note definitely looks wider. And after the latest renders of the Pixel XL 2 with possibly no headphone jack, Note 8 is closing the gap with my desicion.

If there's a recall on the Note 8....well I jist don't know . I'm going to try and wait on it, we all know how the preordered Note 7s went..

I've never pre-ordered a phone and I don't plan on starting now. I'll just visit Best Buy or a carrier store and see if I like.

Oh goodness, if they ended up having to recall the note 8 also then there might not be a note 9. I will stick around for note 8 but we go thru what went thru with the note 7 then I'll definitely go to the s series and leave the note series alone lol.

A key reason for the smaller battery is that concern. No more packing it in to the brim. Almost literally for the Note 7.

They’re packing in a 4000mah battery in the S8 Active and it doesn’t look too thick and I’d guess the extra thickness is more due to the more rugged bodywork. So they could do it if they wanted.

When I went from my BlackBerry Passport to the Note7, I was actually uncomfortable with how narrow and skinny it felt. So much so that my hands would start to cramp from trying to use it. I had to keep a case on it (not that I don't do that anyway) just to be comfortable using it. I still feel like the S8 has as skinny as the N7. I feel the same way with the S7E, I have it, and I really like the look and feel of it without a case, but it's almost unusable in my hands without a case, and I have average hands (I recently picked up my wedding band and didn't have to special order it because it was the normal/average ring size). I am looking forward to at least playing with this N8 when it gets released, but so far I am liking everything I am seeing, and I can't wait to get one!
And lets not forget, the Note 7 was designed to be symmetrical so that it felt smaller in the hand while still being a "large" device.

From SAMMobile Article "That said, we aren’t ruling out the possibility of the Galaxy S8 Active having a slightly larger 3,500mAh battery as Samsung has installed beefier cells in its Active-branded smartphones in the past.", NOT 4,000mAh - Contradicts, but then again, who knows? It's still better than the regular S8!

I really hope the glass on the right is the Note 8. It's a perfect balance of the nice Infinity on the s8 display but fixes what I dislike about it. It's not as round and more square and looks wider. What do you ladies and guys think?

Which is the note 8? The right or the left? I like the one on the left. Hate the taller one on the right.

I miss the Note 7. Very curious and intrigued to get my hands on the Note 8 a display model to compare before possibly pre-ordering. Like I did with my 7edge and the S series phones

The display has the same corner curves in this pic as the 8+. Not seeing anything better. The other one is an Edge.

The specs on the Note 8 are out

S8+ = 159.5X73.4X8.1
Note 8 = 162.5X74.6X8.5

It's only 1mm wider basically the same width.

basically it's the S8+ at 3mm taller and less round corners with a pen, 200mah less battery, 2 gig more and 2 lens camera.
