Today I had an issue with making phone calls on my pixel 4 XL with Android 11 beta 1, so I called Verizon and they they suggested that I go to safe mode. I did. And the whole system crashed and I had to reset the phone. Thus I hope it is a one-off.

Well, thankfully I haven't experienced that issue. The most I'll get is in split screen mode, my phone app will crash. That's about it.

I had additional problems changing my ringtones, I turned off Bluetooth and was able to use all the sounds, then turned back on Bluetooth and able to use all the sounds. Another day of Adventure in the world of the beta.

It's beta for a reason and while I love messing with new software I'd never put a beta on my phone I use as a daily driver.

Hopefully you don't have more issues.

Yeah well see that's what makes it fun sometimes lol although thank God I haven't had too many serious issues. None really at all. Just hiccups here and there.. see now that's the part that's supposed to be expected...

I don't know if fun is there right word. When I had my Pixels I would go beta on my primary phone only because I had backup devices. There's just too many things that break at the wrong time for the average user to put it on their only devices. I get the temptation but I literally talked a few of the newer inquisitive folks here out of installing betas last year.

Yeah, I mean I hear you... I don't have any backup devices, only my Pixel 3 XL is my primary daily driver. I mean fun being it's interesting / innovative to see what Google's new tips and tricks are up their sleeves. Are there some frustrations along the way? Yes of course. But that's the expected on a beta. Most people don't have a backup to put a beta platform on. So, for the rest of us, we have to use our primary devices lol fun might not be either the best choice ever lol More like intriguing and frustrating at times but doable also at the same time because you get to see Google's latest creation before everyone else does!

Haha, oh absolutely I understand what I'm in for. I don't expect the smooth 100% experience all the time. although for me versus Android 10 beta program Android 11 beta program so far is so much smoother. For example an Android 10 beta program, Android auto would not work for me at all on my pixel 3 XL in my 2018 Honda Accord sport. Now, and Android 11 beta it's working fine in my car thank God! Sure I have hiccups here and there with picture and picture move but I'm also submitting tons and tons of bug reports!
