Hoping and Praying the V30 comes with a 4000mAh Battery

Battery swaps aren't necessary in a world where phones recharge in less than an hour and a half and have access to external power supplies like ZeroLemon cases.
You are on the way to the water park. You wake up and realize that you didn't charge your phone and as you pull into the parking lot you are on 10%

What's easier? Switching batteries out, or using an external battery charger?

LGs fast charge isn't always fast.

I have a fast charger in the car and a fast charge juice pack

The external is easier. Just plug it in.

How is it easier? You plug it in and now you have to walk around with a battery and phone until it charges to 100... Or you can switch batteries and keep moving

It's pretty obvious which is easier.

Internal battery swap steps
Step 1: Remove case
Step 2: Remove phone back
Step 3: Remove empty battery
Step 4: Insert charged battery
Step 5: Install phone back
Step 6: Install phone in case

External battery installation steps
Step 1: Plug in battery

ZeroLemon cases are also an option. Again, plug in and go.

Lol you're debating 5 seconds of plugging in for .. 30-40 seconds of swapping batteries? I don't know anyone that truly needs those 30-35 seconds :P. It seems like you're just splitting hairs.

I don't think by easier they were referring to comparing the number of steps.
I've had both removable and non removable. I can deal with either one, however its easier to swap out a battery then to wait for it to charge or walk around with your phone tethered to a juice pack. Adding a zerolemon adds bulk. I have extended batteries that add bulk but only use them if I need more than an extra battery and have no way to recharge.

Gotta agree here. I understand people not wanting/needing removable batteries, but it takes maybe 30 seconds to swap for a fresh battery and never have to plug my phone in. If this is something you're used to, having your phone tethered to an external pack (which you also have to charge) seems silly.

The question is "Which is easier?" My answer is correct.

It might be more convenient for you, but it isn't easier. My answer is correct because it requires you to do less. You guys really love the mental gymnastics.

Yeah correct if splitting hairs.. but in real world talk it really isn't a big deal.

No mental gymnastics as you only addressed the issue of plugging in a cable verses removing a case and replacing battery....which I can do in less than 10 seconds. His additional point to it being easier was that he didn't have to charge the battery. Who wants to be tethered to a juicpack? Don't get me wrong, I have a juice pack that supports USB 3.0, but I only use it if I know I don't have access to alternatives. I also have 2X and 3X extended battery. So you see I can do what you do, but I like having options and in many cases I swap out for a stock or extended battery. Swapping out is easily preferable to being being a wallhugger or being tethered to a juice pack.

Neither is using an external battery. For you to even match my external battery's power, you'd have to carry 3 extra batteries around.

This has been discussed a ton (removable batteries) so for the sake of playing the semantic game yes it is easier to plug something in versus swapping.

Now can we can get back to the topic at hand of actually discussing the battery that is going to be in the V30 versus taking it on this huge off-topic fight about removable batteries when there is no removable anymore (at least on this phone)?

Thanks.

Agreed
I originally started this thread knowing that we weren't going to get a removable battery. My hopes is that they would at least build in a bigger capacity. I knew that 4000 mAh would be a stretch, but 3200 mAh is a bit of disappointment. I'm hoping that a lot of people are right that between OLED, the 835 and Android O it manages the battery well enough. 3200 mAh on the V20 has been decent but I'm a convicted battery killer.

Which is easier for getting your phone back to 100%.

You know what I meant. Just admit that we are right. I have no problem admitting if I am wrong.

Tethered to a battery pack (which I have all shape and sizes) it's not easier to:

Walk around

Be in public

Keep when you don't have pockets or they are small
