Hotmail Not Pushing

Username: myemailaddress@live.com (or @hotmail.com)

Password: whatever your pw is

Domain\Username: \myemailaddress@live.com (or @hotmail.com)

Server: m.hotmail.com

Make sure you check both "Use secure connection (SSL)" and "Accept all SSL certificates"

Try that and make sure the account is set to auto sync.

I get my hotmail through my gmail account. Best way to get it IMO. Go to your gmail page and add a POP3 email account under settings.

That is a very good idea. I have two gmail accounts and have the other one auto fwd to my gmail account associated to my phone.

Having a google (gmail) account is so central to Android that I couldn't fathom how anyone would like an android phone if they didn't have one.

I would agree with the POP3 idea, with the goal of eventually moving to Gmail.

Or, you know, get a Windows 7 phone. That will hopefully have pretty tight Hotmail integration.

Depends on what you have. @live or @hotmail? I always used m.hotmail.com. Although it may be different now. I dont mess with Hotmail anymore. GMAIL is better.

I have both and certainly prefer my gmail account. I use my Hotmail account for most things that I buy or that might get be put on some kind of spam list so I get all of my junk there. So I like to know which account I'm getting a message on - i.e I'll check my gmail message now but a Hotmail message can usually wait. So for that reason I'd like to keep them separate and know which is which when my phone makes a noise or an alert.
