Hourglass icon in Sony Xperia phone?

So I have seen this icon on my Xperia phone and I can't tell what it means or which app it belongs to. I couldn't find it in the phone's manual or any where.

Which Xperia is it? Do you have a 2nd SIM card installed? If not, it might just be a placeholder icon that shows up if there is no SIM or a nonfunctioning SIM. Essentially, it's saying, "Wait, I'm checking to see if the SIM works."
