How accurate are the Google Store's estimated delivery dates?

The Cloudy White Pixel 6 Pro seems to be backordered everywhere, but I ordered a 126GB VZW one from the Google Store on Thursday and was surprised to see an estimated delivery range of November 27-30. I was even more surprised when I got an email on Friday morning that the device had "shipped," although according to the courier, the label has been created but they're still waiting on the item. It doesn't look like I've been charged yet, either.

Should I assume the phone is backordered on the Google Store, and the estimated date is wrong?

They appear to be accurate as I've wondered the same. I ordered a cloudy White p6p VZW from the Google store on the 22nd. Shipped on the 24th. If it weren't for fedex being incompetent I'd have the phone in my hands right now.

I've found their estimated delivery dates to be pretty good. They'll modify them depending on availability, so it might suddenly change one way or the other. But if it says it's been shipped, that means they definitely have it available. I have found that within the first 24 hours of the shipped status, you may still not be able to track it, because it probably still hasn't been physically picked up by the delivery service. Just wait another day or so, and recheck the tracking.

Google accurate? If their phones were as reliable as their shipping, no one would purchase a pixel.
I originally ordered a Cloudy white Pixel Pro 128gb on Nov 4 with a deliver date of Jan 20-21,
Nov 6 changed to Jan 19-21
Nov 7 changed to Jan 4-5
Nov 8 changed to Dec 22-23
Nov 8, later in the evening changed to Nov 17-18
Nov 10 changed to Nov 19-20
Nov 13 changed to Dec 8-9
Nov 15 changed to Dec 9-10 THEN I CANCELLED. GOT TIRE OF THE BS UP/DOWN OF THE DATE.

Decided to reorder on 11/16 or 17 with a delivery date of Dec 17-18 and that date still has not changed.
So, if you ordered this past Thursday and they gave you a ship date of Nov 27-30; I will be chatting, AGAIN, with google tomorrow and if I find out orders placed a week after I placed mine are shipping sooner; I will cancel on the spot and say the hell with google and their shipping BS and just order a S21 ultra and move on from Pixel for good.
I understand you ordered a Verizon model vs. unlocked for me, so if this can be offered up as a good reason, I will hold off, but they better have an explanation better than before when the dates kept moving back-and-forth in my first order.

But in answer to your question...don't believe a thing they post or say! My opinion, and only my opinion!

Wow, that's nuts!:p

What was nuts was the two time I chatted with google they admitted it was all screwed up but basically nothing could be done about it. That's why I cancelled the first order, out of frustration and generally being mad enough to spit bullets. Took a day or two to cool back down. But I guarantee if this order gets screwed up or I feel they are screwing around; I just checked, a S21 ultra would ship out on Dec. 9, if order today.

And even though I really like the P6P and really want that camera, I do have two Nikon 850s and about 20K in lenses.

That sucks. Was it a VZW one?

No, and that is what I'm going to check on today or tomorrow with google. Personally, I don't understand why they would push through VZW, ATT or TM phones faster than unlocked phones since they are all ending up in the hands of actual customers. However, I admittedly stated that before that I would not doubt they would do that, along with pushing some out to the main retailers like Amazon, BH, Bestbuy, etc., while pushing individual orders on their website back in deliver dates. (If they did that and BH suddenly received the phone I would be happy to purchase from them; 99 percent of all my camera equipment, over the past 30 years has been purchased from BH...but so far, no supply there either.)

I imagine, google will be busy as heck due to cyber Monday so probably tomorrow.

I was charged this morning, which is a good sign. But TForce is still saying, "Package information has been provided but the item has not been received for delivery."

Evidently, Google will produce phones for the suppliers and hold for sale as well as the unlocked versions. So someone ordering a phone specific for Verizon could get it delivered earlier than someone who ordered an unlocked phone. Unlocked phones sell more than Verizon specific. As for actual shipping dates, in the past week, after the mess in the beginning, they are trying to hold to the given deliver date but could be delivered a day or two earlier. So, sayeth the person from the google chat.
