How are pixels 2s holding up?

My black XL2 is holding up better than my white XL2. the white one has been in a case it's whole life and has these weird fine scratches in the white finish on the bottom of the back side of the phone. Seems to be getting worse, hence my updated post.

My black XL2 has never been in a case and looks brand new.

That does sound weird.

My pixel 2 xl has been in an Incipio dual pro case since I bought it. Granted that I've dropped it at least 10 times, the scratches on the screen are too prominent to go unnoticed.

It's safe to say that they're there from taking the phone in and out of the pocket. I wear skinny jeans. They don't show up in sunlight but under florecent lights, my God!

Plus, has anybody noticed that when you put something like an iPhone under florecents alongside a Samsung or a pixel, the light refracts on the pixel and samsung rather than reflecting like a mirror? On the other hand, iPhone reflects off the light so cleanly. I don't know how to explain but it seems like the screens on the pixel and Samsung are bumpy and wavy as compared to those of iPhone. You can't feel it, you can only see it.

Anyways, not happy about the physical quality of the screen. Too soft! Don't really care about the color shift.

I've had my Pixel 2 XL for over 6 months. I keep it in a Google Live case, protective version. I carry mine in a left front jeans pocket, screen facing towards me, and absolutely never put anything in that pocked except my phone. After very careful examination I can find no scratching whatsoever. I don't see any bumpy or wavey quality your talking about. My screen is very sharp with good color accuracy. I have no complaints about the quality of the screen.
