How are pixels 2s holding up?

Was thinking about the Pitaka case. Is it worth it for $50?

I think so. If you like thin and durable then yes. It’s a very sleek and attractive case. Extremely thin. I also purchased the car mount accessory to go along with it. Pricey purchase but well worth it IMO. Let me know if you decide to purchase, I believe I have a discount code I can give you. Just need to find it in my emails, lol

My P2 is holding up great. No problems. I used it caseless for about 3 months and really enjoyed that naked feel. Finally decided on a minimal case. It is still fast and fluid and definitely the smoothest android device I've ever used. Should last till the P4 is released with no problem.

Ok thanks. I'll probably get the Pitaka case if I can't find another slim case I like.

I always keep my phone, whichever one it is, in an Otterbox Defender, so no fears about dropping or scratching.

Since I run the battery between 80% and 40%, I expect it to last for quite a while.

No complaints. (Complaints about Oreo, but that has nothing to do with the Oixel 2.)

Battery life is definitely subpar. Luckily we have fast charging.

I was getting close to 5-6 hours less than a month ago, not sure what changed and haven't installed anything new either. I also did a reset and clean install of all my apps (pain in the ***) but still suffering.

Had mine since November 2017 and so far so good. It's in a fairly thin Spigen Rugged Armor case, no screen protector. It's been dropped and few times and one time flew out of my hand and bounced off a car door onto pavement, and still no obvious scratches or dings. I tend to carry it in a shirt pocket, jacket pocket, or front pants pocket facing me with nothing else in the pocket. It got doused pretty good with water one time too, when my wife knocked over her water glass in a restaurant. My battery life is great! I leave on the charger overnight and almost never have to recharge before I go to bed. Easily runs all day with power to spare.

I had one of my og pixel XL and didn't mind it, but for some reason didn't put one on my xl2. I do hope they do the buyback program again and don't take into account the condition of the phone. I'm not too excited about a notch, but I'll probably want it anyway.

It's a wives tale

My 2XL still looks brand new, but I've had a case on it since day one. I love how it feels without a case, but I'd drop it for sure as soon as I went longer than 5 minutes without one.

Ditto here. I now have a UAG case on it because for the first time in my cell phone life, I previously dropped my Nexus 6p and cracked the screen. Now I don't trust myself LOL

P4!?! Who has that kind of willpower?
Are you from the planet Krypton?

I'm hoping they do something special with the cameras or add some other innovative feature otherwise it's hard to justify leaving the 2XL. I will most likely do so anyway just for the newness, fresh battery and getting the most back on the sale of the 2XL. Might even sell it before pre-order and use my V20.

My Pixel 2XL Panda 128GB version is in a cheap $3 case from China. Has been dropped a few times - not by me but people trying to take a picture of our family. Still looks like new if I take it out of the case. I have a tempered glass screen protector on it as well.

I upgraded to the larger version in early March and before that I had the smaller version for 4+ months. I still have a bunch of cases for the smaller version, probably should post them for sale on the Marketplace.

What kind of tempered glass screen protector are you using? Also, what kind of smaller Pixel 2 cases do you have? 😁

I just snagged the one they had at the Verizon store. Didn't want to turn it on without a case and screen protector. I decided to try a tempered glass protector although in the past I've always used the plastic wet application type; been satisfied with it.

I have two, both colors. they are both new looking with an exception of the white one. the white one has this super tiny chip in the white coating on the back. makes me sad. no idea how it got there. never dropped it. other than that they're both perfect.

Is that a clip-on screen protector? What's with the things that look like tabs?

My Pixel 2 XL 128 GB (black) is still holding up well. I just have a Spigen Rugged Armor case on it (nothing insane) and a plastic (wet-apply) screen protector.
