How are updates handled if you're with Cricket?

I have an ATT Note 5 but am using Cricket as my service provider. Will I get any updates for this phone from ATT since they own Cricket? Or is there another way of updating?

If possible you can install the update through Samsung Smart Switch if you have a PC, or you can ask to borrow an AT&T Sim to put in your phone so you can pull the update from AT&T servers.
