How bad is data on Sprint when you roam

Interested in Sprint with their great prices, but one of the locations where I work is roaming. Is roaming a deal breaker? How slow is roaming on Sprint for data? Does roaming affect call quality? I don't want to go through the hassle of buying and returning a sprint phone, there is only a Radio Shack in town and the nearest corporate store is 20 miles away.

For me it works fine. Then again I don't really need to roam that much. Every time I roam on Verizon, I am on 1xrt not 3G. Usually when I roam I have very few bars, as I am in an area where neither Sprint nor Verizon's signals are very Strong. Voice quality is the same, but my data is a tad slower.

I am roaming at home and get 2 to 3 bars. Just guessing my data speed roaming on Verizon is about half of what I get from Sprint. Its still perfectly acceptable for web browsing, checking email, etc. I wouldn't be able to play online games with it though.
