How can I avoid data usage?

Avoid data usage

The plan I'm on currently doesn't have any data and I'd like to leave it that way for now, if I can. I'm content to download apps, read email, and so forth only when I'm home or somewhere that has free WiFi. How can I accomplish that? In other words, what settings do I have to jiggle to ensure that I'm not going to get any data from the cell network?

You can usually call up your provider and tell them to not allow data down to your phone but other then that you usually can go into your mobile networks, turn off data in the more options or whatever in there. Some stock roms have it
