How can I backup my photos on my Galaxy S8+ when my screen is not working/cracked

I dropped my phone and cracked the screen to the point it is not readable whatsoever, it seems to be still working somewhat though. Is there anyway to get my photos off of the phone without using the screen on my phone. I do not have a password on my phone. I tried to connect it to my computer but that didn't seem to work for some reason and I'm not sure why.

connecting it to the computer is the only way to get anything off if the screen is broken. either that or you'll have to fix the screen.
