AC Question

The alarm volume on the LG G4 is so loud we nearly have heart attacks every morning. I've been through the user guide but can't find anything anywhere that will allow me to reduce the volume (or change the alarm sound). Have I missed something in the user guide or will I need to buy an alarm clock to wake us up more gently?
Thanks, jaybee

Get the alarm clock xtreme app. Let's you choose between alarm sounds and music, and let's you increase volume gradually.

Yup, a separate app is the way to go if you're not happy. Volume separation has seen some welcome improvements but still has a way to go on Android & it appears that the 'Clock' app has it's own built-in settings that don't link to any of the presets.

Personally, I sleep like a drunken pig, so I find the loud alarm most welcome.

Now, getting Android Wear watch alarms & reminders to link arms & play nicely with the phone - I'd pay good money for that!

It's in the setting for each particular alarm you set. Scroll down from the clock to find all the settings.

Brilliant, thanks Dude - there it was, hiding in clear view, all the time.

I feel (even more) stupid now.

Gotta love these forums!

Alarm Clock Xtreme hasn't been updated to be fully compatible with MM, and it won't activate if the phone is dozing. Setting it to ignore optimizations doesn't work either. AVG told me they are working on updating, but it's about useless right now. Same with a number of alarm apps from what I've read.

Otherwise it's a great app. I love the ability to softly increase alarm volume as it plays and having to solve math problems to deactivate it.
