I have a Verizon Droid running Cyanogenmod 7 that's been out of service for a long time. I'm redeploying it as a music player for my wife to take to the gym. The problem is that when I fire it up, it still thinks it should be an active phone, and Verizon thinks so too; it connects to the Verizon network and is able to make calls. I don't want it to do that.
Right now I have it on Airplane Mode, but that means I can't use wi-fi either. How can I unset the Verizon provisioning on this phone, so that it will not try to connect to the Verizon network (or not succeed)?
