How can I dismiss a notification untill I open the app (LG G4)?

hi guys, this is my first time using an android phone and got myself a G4,

is there any way to not dismiss any notification until the app is opened? i have accidentally swiping left/right on my notification pulldown & screen and i have no idea which app prompted me, without any badge and all.

please advise! thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! No, I don't believe you can do that. Swiping away notifications doesn't get rid of the actual email or text message, nor does it cause it to be marked as read in the app, if you're worried about that.
