How can I download repeatedly my photos from a Samsung

I downloaded my photos and videos long ago. I want to download them again into a new external drive but the photo transfer only "transfers" the new pictures. It does not see the ones already transferred previously.
Is there a way to "un-mark" these as downloaded in the phone? to trick the tool?

Welcome to Android Central. You can use a file manager app. How is the external drive attached?

I am using a Seagate BackupPlus Slim, attached via an USBS slot

You have the photos on something Samsung and the HDD is connected to a PC or the Samsung phone?

Photos are on my Samsung Galaxy 6 and HDD is connected to PC.

Connect your phone to a Windows PC, double-click it in Computer, open your media folder, drag and drop what you want on the external hard drive
