Android Central Question

I bought a phone with the specification in the label inside it with the data below. I suspect they sold me a chinese Samsung clone. However the phone works but with some things disabled. Need to flash a ROM, factory reset or something. Anyone has dealt with something like this? Any help is appreciated.

The box says Samsung Galaxy J7 prime

Model
SM-J910
FCC Id
A3LSMJ910
SSN
J910GSMH

S/N: RF8H70LSNK

If it's not a real J9 (like https://sohelmobile.blogspot.com/2017/01/galaxy-samsung-j96-j910fds-j900fn.html ), you can't flash a J9 ROM to it - the hardware is different and the best you'll do is soft-brick it until you reflash its original ROM. But I suspect that your only question is based on the fact that it's made in China. Samsung has factories in China, so legitimate Samsung phones are made there.

If you need to reset it (that just removes any files, apps or data you put into it, it doesn't load "the real firmware" or anything like that), it's in Settings/Backup and Reset. (Remove your Google [not email - Google] account first.)
