How can I fix an S3 that is unresponsive to touch, with a purple/black screen?

S3 unresponsive touch, purple/black screen

My mom dropped her phone

The phone is able to boot up just fine, and all the hardware buttons work. The touch is unresponsive and the blueish damage on the screen is spreading. The visual artefacts were not completely there at first.

How can this be fixed?

The LCD layer on the screen is broken (physically broken, like a piece of dropped glass). It's a semi-liquid crystalline structure and once broken, the breaks spread (which is why there are more artifacts now then there were). The touchscreen layer appears to be damaged too. The screen has to be replaced.

That seems to be the case, thank you. The screen is completely black now. The LED lights work so it is still able to boot up.
