Waze Speaker Volume really low on Nexus 5

Hi

I have been trying to find an answer to this for a couple of months now with no joy so hoping someone on here knows the answer please.

I had been using Waze on my Nexus 5 with output through the phone speaker and it was great.
Very occasionally I would swap to use it through my car's bluetooth.

Now I am using it through phone speaker and whilst driving you can not hear it as it's so quiet.
The slider is up full.
Even when adjusting the master Music, video, games & other media volume bar to full it has no change.

Any ideas please?
I love Waze and has been far better than my TomTom standalone unit I had with the RDS traffic so would love to be able to hear it again.
Thanks

Re: Waze Speaker Volume really low on Nexus 5

I use Waze daily on my N5 and haven't noticed any issues... Is it impacting any other apps? If not, you might try uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if that resolves the issue.

Other apps are fine such as Spotify and YouTube.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same :(

You could transfer the audio to a bluetooth headset. Works great.

I have a Nexus 5 and had the same issue.

- Go to your settings
- Choose sound near the bottom
- Make sure the SPEAKER VOLUME IS "NOT" CHECKED.

Hope this helps 😎

I finally found a solution for the low volume on the Waze voice. The volume is driven by the phone speaker volume. Make a phone call and put the phone on speaker. Turn the volume all of the way up and then hang up the phone. Waze volume will now work.

Waze is doing the same thing on my Droid turbo, and the volume is also getting stuck on high. It seems ok for the first minute alot of times but then gets stuck on either low or high volume and I have to adjust the volume in the Waze settings. I hope there's a way to fix it.

@JJones021
Thanks a lot. I checked solutions to this problem on internet for some hours. Most of the solutions requested me to install third party apps. It was not logic to me. Your answer resolve the problem. It should be included in waze help.
