5.1 show battery percent on top bar

Android 5.1 How do you show the battery percent available on the top status bar

Re: 5.1 show battery percent on top bar

Open Settings -> Personalisation -> Status bar icons and then tick the battery system icon.

Re: 5.1 show battery percent on top bar

This may depend upon the device. Samsung has historically had this added to TouchWiz but other manufacturer skins or even "pure Android" devices like the Moto X don't have this option, unless Google added it to the Nexus builds this time.

Re: 5.1 show battery percent on top bar

If you're rooted, the Xposed module GravityBox will let you add the battery percent.

You can download an app from the play store called percent enabler. You don't have to be rooted. You install it and reboot phone as the battery gets lower you will see a percentage.

On 5.1.1, I tapped Menu / Settings / General / About Phone / Battery / Battery Level / and the checkbox for Battery percentage on status bar.

JUST FOLLOW THIS STEPS IF YOUR OS IS 5.1.1
SETTING > DISPALY > SYSTEM ICON > (tick) BATTERY PERCENTAGE: )

Well, that's not true in general, only for some special devices. In some cases like vodafone smart 6 you must use 3rd party tools to enable this feature. (And off topic: full capital letters = speak out loud which is not required)
