Android Central Question

For the last 3 months every time I tell Alexa to play music from the '70s she plays the same playlist over and over and over. How can I get her to skip forward 20 or 25 songs so I don't have to listen to the same ones over and over?

Welcome to Android Central.

It likely isn't possible to get it to skip that many songs all in one shot. You could say skip, skip, skip... but that would take a minute, not literally a minute but a while, and be a huge pain in the keister.

Two things come to mind; first do you know what the source of the music is? I mean does Alexa play from Castbox, Pandora, YouTube Music... where is it getting the play list from? Most of those services won't present the same exact play list every time but may if Alexa picks. This brings me to the second thing that comes to mind, which would be to add modifiers. Instead of "Play music from the 70's" what if you asked for a play list based on a particular artist from the 70's or a particular genre from the 70's? I can't imagine you would get the same exact list if you said "Play pop music form the 70's" or "Play Jackson 5 music from the 70's" or Bocephus or whomever you like, but I hope you see what I mean.
