Ok so I was having problems with the latest FB for Android updates.... one of which i noticed that AFTER the update was installed originally, FB for Sense vanished from the list of programs and widgets...only FB for Android was listed. I've now uninstalled that FB for Android update, but the FB Sense app is nowhere to be found. I know its still on the phone of course (not rooted), its in the manage my applications listing, it syncs to my contacts and friendstream..but i can't add the app or widget to a home screen because it simply isn't listed.

Any one else have this problem? How do I get it back?

You had me confused for a second.

You're saying that you can't find FB for Sense in the App tray ("all programs"), only in Manage Applications, right?

I don't recall that there ever was an icon for "FB for HTC Sense" in the app tray. There was only ever the "Facebook for Android" app that came stock alongside FB for Sense. When you installed the update to "Facebook for Android," you just replaced the app that came stock. So you should still only have one Facebook app in the tray.

Facebook for HTC Sense is still there and unmodified -- check your Accounts and Sync in settings to be sure.

FB for Sense integrates into the Sense UI and HTC apps. It's where the FB data for People, Photos, FriendStream, etc, comes from. It's not a discrete app.

I think he's saying when he posts to Twitter/Facebook, it says "Sent from HTC Sense." Now it's "Sent from Facebook for Android."

Revolutionary is correct. I guess I never noticed that it wasn't an actual stand-alone icon in the apps tray. But wasn't there a separate widget? And yes friendstream works, every else FB connects, it does so with the Sense app....

thanks guys!
