How can I get from V9 to VD with CM7?

As I've said, I want to get to VD radio, but I can't figure out how.
The rooting guide for VD says that to upgrade to VD you have to be on a VC-based ThundeROM, nROM or Lego ROM, but I can't find such a version in any of their particular threads. (Not keeping older versions is a bad practice, guys...)
Also, why would I have to be on a VC-based ROM if I'm on V9?

Anyway. If anyone could help me out with this, or even maybe find a way to make the LG Software Updater do the update while running a CM7-based ROM and work from there, that'd be a great help. Thanks :)

The LG tool will not update with a CM7 ROM and probably never will. The VD based versions SHOULD work.

Edit: I see you're on V9. You should restore to the nandroid backup that you should have made before flashing.

I replied too quick. Someone will need to supply you with a VC or earlier non-CM7 build prop. See if you can find a VC or earlier buildprop, like somewhere in around page 40 of the Lego thread.

I no longer have my backups from that long ago (IIRC I made my first nandroid backup at the end of December, and I don't have much space to keep huge backups around).
I'll try one of the VD-based ROMs and work from there. I'll reply back tomorrow with a progress report. Thanks :)
EDIT: Simon, I'm already rooted and have Xionia custom recovery installed. The problem is that I can't update to VD on a CM7 ROM.
I was just mixed up on what to do in order to be able to follow the tutorial. I should be fine now.

I edited my post see again. Build prop is the key.

All hail Zefie et al...

Okay, so basically I have to take a nandroid backup, flash a VC or earlier buildprop from, say, Lego ROM v1, and then try to boot and upgrade the radio?

I did it with nrom 1.5.2fixed (compatible with v9 and vd). backup, wipe everything and flash nrom, boot, update with the LG tool, back into recovery, restore. I also wiped system and flashed a new daily while I was in recovery, which probably made no difference, but I should note.

...the problem with this approach being that I can't FIND any older versions of Lego/nROM/Thunder. The threads don't contain any back-archive of versions at all, as far as I can tell.
If you happen to have the necessary update.zip to get to nROM, and you could upload it somewhere (MediaFire?), that'd be real nice of ya. :)

Older versions of ThundeROM can be found here. I'm not sure about the ROMs though.

Right, using TROM 1.6.2 and working from there, I managed to get everything set and working. I'm now officially on Scott Pilgrim CM7 with VD software! Thanks, everyone! :D
