Re: data backup help

Welcome to Android Central! Logging into your Google account and checking the Automatically Restore checkbox in Settings>Backup & Restore should restore the data, but be aware that only certain data gets saved. It can be difficult to know which non-Google apps use this function. See this support page for more info: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2819582?hl=en

Re: data backup help

Games save progress in various ways, and it depends on the game which one they use. Some will save progress to their own server in the cloud if you create an account with the software company, so that any time you log in (from any device), you can pick up where you left off. Others will save progress to your Facebook or Google+ account, if you log in with one of those accounts. But most games only save progress locally, and if you lose that data, then you have to start all over again.

You can backup app data more reliably using Helium.

Refer back to what I wrote in post #2. Only certain data gets saved, and it can be difficult to know which apps use this function. Whatever data might be restored will be restored as long as you have the Automatically Restore checkbox checked, and should restore as soon as you log into your phone with the same Google account.

Which phone do you have? No all phones allow moving an app to the SD card. If you install Asphalt 8 to your phone and go to Settings>Apps and select Asphalt 8, look for a Move to SD button. If you don't see one, then you can't move it.

Hi thanks yea there is an option to move it to sdcard but 1.55gb data is still in device even if i move it to sd card

Re: data backup help

That's because only a small portion of the app is designed to be moved to the SD card. I'm afraid you're stuck with that game taking up a large amount of your Internal Storage.
