Hi, dropndestroy.
Welcome to Android Central Forum.

If this possible I'm sure someone with this sort of knowledge will chime in to assist you in doing so.

Good Luck To You

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news..

Boost runs on iDEN network ( nextel)
EVO runs on CDMA cdma (sprint/verizon)

Two completely different frequencies and hardware radios, there is no way to "flash" the phone to work with boost, AT&T, T mobile, etc. Its a very very very slim remote possibility to get it to work with Verizon but I dont think anyone has even bothered.

you can, however, get it to work on Straight Talk (Verizon CDMA). It's $45/month. I flash EVO's to work on Straight Talk. PM me if interested.

False.

Boost operates on BOTH Iden and CDMA networks. It is possible to get an Evo running on Boost, but I don't know the ins and outs of the process. It's fairly complicated.

There is a way. i came across some guide a few weeks ago, its too complicated tho, everything should work. Id search around your local craigslist, sometimes there are people on their that are willing to do it, but they charge pretty high.

Wrong. Boost has both IDEN AND CDMA

Evo works on boost? Yes it does.

I have my evo working on boost, all you really need to do is get the software(which can be downloaded, just yahoo flash evo to boost), you will need to purchase a 3g boost phone, like a sanyo incognito, or something similar (so be prepared to spend money to buy the actual boost phone) from boostmobile.com or go to a store, but again make sure it is a 3g phone cause you are using the software from the phone you buy and "cloning" it. (cloning is only illegal if you are using it for malicious/illegal activity, so cloning your own phone that you own is not illegal, same as any other copying, such as copying dvds, only illegal if you do not own them and intend to sell it to someone else.) Or you can spend roughly $80 for a boost store to do the cloning for you, (please note that the people who do this does not allow you to keep the phone they cloned for you unless you provide the phone yourself, so that is a bit risky, to a point, you can clearly see if they sold the phone just by checking your usage to see if someone is actually using the cloned phone. Most of the stores that do this usually just use the cloned phone for parts so they make more money.)

I do not know if straight talk 3g will work with evo.... Further explanation on my research: evo is cdma, verizon is cdma, the straight talk portion that is version/cdma does not have phones that are 3g capable, they are all 1x. The part of straight talk that is 3g capable is tmobile/att which require a sim card (currently only 3 types of straight talk phones that are 3g are nokia phones with sim cards). This being the case I can confidently say no the evo will not work on straight talk at 3g speeds at least and will stay this way until straight talk comes out with a cdma 3g phone that contains the prl software you need. However, I have read that there is a cdma 3g prl floating around, but as I have searched for it and came up with nothing so far. All I have read about this floater is just claims and no proof.

Im here in miami, and the store that flashes my phones does it, and you dont need to buy a boost phone to flash it, they charge 65 to flash to boost mobile if you have already a plan with boost , if not ia going to be $135. And you get every feature not 4g but the 3g is fast and you get hot spot too lmk if you need help

Ok heres the Deal with Straight talk and boost they DO NOT USE the Verizon NETWORK... for anything.. they run Sprint for Android phones. there is software available for flashing HTC,Motorola,Samsung,LG and so on available at YourCellular.Net for 24.95 they give you 1 months access to all the downloads on their server. Allowing you to Download as many Flashing utils as u need for almost every CDMA Phone made. once you have the proper .zip file or whatever it is and drivers for your phone READ THE INSTRUCTIONS so as not to brick your phone.. I have done this on 4 EVO 4g's and 2 3D's all work fine on 3g network... Hope this Helps...
