How can I get my Galaxy Gear App and Samsung Galaxy S6 working together again?

Galaxy Gear App and the Samsung Galaxy S6

I have had my Galaxy Gear 2 Neo since Dec 2014 and had it paired to my Samsung Galaxy S5 using the Galaxy Gear App from the Galaxy Store. I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S6 yesterday and downloaded the Gear App so I could pair with my Neo watch. Well it didn't work....it can't identify the watch. (Yes I have my bluetooth on with the phone) Is anyone else having this problem? I went on Samsung Customer Service Chat and they didn't understand the problem and gave me a service ticket to talk to a representative (not available on Sundays). I would think since these are all Samsung products that they would be compatible. Any ideas?

(The Galaxy Gear App was working on my S5 after the Android 5.0 update)

Did you reset the watch? Paring with a new phone requires this?

My Gear S prompted me to reset it when I tried to connect you may need to do this manually

Thank you....it worked!!! I would think the Samsung Customer Service would have that as a question when trying to diagnose the problem. Again...thank you for your help. I am going to mention that on the Galaxy Gear app download screen.
