How can I get my Galaxy S3 Home button working?

Galaxy S3 Home button does not work

I cannot set my home button to take me to the home screen

Welcome to Android Central! Does it do anything? If the screen is asleep and you press the Home button, does the screen wake up? If not, then the button is probably faulty. Bring it to a repair shop.
