How can I get my Note 4 mic working again?

Check the hole with a good light. If there's any lint in it, use a pointed wooden toothpick to loosen it and get it out. Packed lint is a good sound insulator.

If that's not the problem, it's probably either the mic itself, the earphone jack or the motherboard - any of which means a trip to the carrier (it should still be under warranty).

My mic hole was plugged. Used a sewing pin to poke it clean.

It's a little hard to help when there's so little information about the issue. Does the mic work for some things and not others? Does it work for a while after a reboot and then stop? What troubleshooting have you done?

Fixed this problem on my note 4 by poking the two tiny holes on the bottom of the device (one each sidd of the usb charging port), and one hole next to the microphome jack at the top.

I used a very small needle. Scraped out all the gunk and dusted out with air can.

Hope that helps anyone who needs it. Dont look like a crazy person yelling in To your phone lol.
