How can I get my Play Store working?

My play store isn't working

I have an old off brand ICS phone, its been working perfectly all this time, but i had to reset it today since it got really slow, i signed into my google account through my computer, and made an app password, then used it in play store for my phone, the sign in is successful, but i cant download any apps, over wifi nor data

Welcome to Android Central! Make sure Google Play Service is up to date. On your computer browser, go to the Google Play Services app page, and click Installed. Find your device in the list, and see if you can select it to update.

google play services wont install on my phone, it has a id error
